Buff, polish and shine
Paint care specifically: taking off what the weather put on, and protecting what's underneath.
What buffing and polishing actually does
Paint dulls because the surface accumulates damage: oxidation from sun, fallout and grime that bonds on, and swirls of fine scratches from years of washing. Machine polishing removes that damaged surface layer in a controlled way, which is why gloss comes back: you are looking at fresh paint again, not a coating over tired paint.
What it typically covers
- Wash and decontamination first, so polishing works on paint rather than grinding grit into it.
- Machine buff and polish matched to your paint's condition.
- Protection afterwards: keeping the finish is easier than restoring it.
How often
Paint care guidance commonly suggests polishing a few times a year to hold the finish, but the honest schedule depends on where the car lives: sun, salt air and street parking all shorten it. Ask when you book and we will suggest an interval for your situation.
